Горнодобывающая Anglo American, получившая предложение о покупке от более крупного конкурента BHP Group, готовится к продаже алмазной De Beers, узнала The Wall Street Journal.
У компании 85% De Beers, остальное - у властей Ботсваны. Переговоры велись с люксовыми домами и арабскими госинвестфондами, пишет WSJ, а итоговым покупателем может стать какой-то из люксов в СП с финансовым инвестором. Ни сумму предложения, ни потенциальных покупателей узнать не удалось - переговоры в ранней стадии.
Россия до санкций против “Алросы” добывала примерно треть мировых алмазов, доля De Beers составляла порядка 30%. В 2023 году ее выручка упала на 35% до $4,3 млрд на избытке предложения и мировых экономических проблемах. В феврале этого года Anglo American объявила о списании $1,6 млрд, связанном с De Beers.
