Первый паровой паром-ледокол на Байкале, с названием"Байкал" .

Построен 1895-1896 английской фирмой «Sir W. G. Armstrong Whitworth & Co Ltd», после постройки разобран и доставлен в Россию. В январе 1898 началась сборка ледокола на стапеле в Лиственичном на берегу Байкала. В 1899г. 17 июня торжества был спущен на воду, 4 января 1900г. начались ходовые испытания ледокола. Первый рейс паром-ледокол 24 апреля 1900г. от порта Байкал в Мысовую.

С начала гражданской войны находился в распоряжении красных и был вооружен пулеметами и артиллерией. 16 августа 1918 года после заняти Мысовска белочехами паром-ледокол «Байкал» был расстрелян полевой артиллерией и сгорел у городской пристани.

In 2014, Pavel Durov fled the country after allies of the Kremlin took control of the social networking site most know just as VK. Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. Given the pro-privacy stance of the platform, it’s taken as a given that it’ll be used for a number of reasons, not all of them good. And Telegram has been attached to a fair few scandals related to terrorism, sexual exploitation and crime. Back in 2015, Vox described Telegram as “ISIS’ app of choice,” saying that the platform’s real use is the ability to use channels to distribute material to large groups at once. Telegram has acted to remove public channels affiliated with terrorism, but Pavel Durov reiterated that he had no business snooping on private conversations. There was another possible development: Reuters also reported that Ukraine said that Belarus could soon join the invasion of Ukraine. However, the AFP, citing a Pentagon official, said the U.S. hasn’t yet seen evidence that Belarusian troops are in Ukraine. Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses. Technology stocks were hit particularly hard by higher bond yields.
