Вчера вечером вот таким составом говорили о научной фантастике и инновациях в аудитории школы Сколково. Обсуждали идеи фантастов, их связь с наукой, маркетинговые ходы и образ будущего. Тезисами дискуссии поделиться не могу (кроме той, что в фантастике серьёзный кризис, потому что у общества сегодня нет образа будущего), но хочу поделиться списком книг, которые спикеры настоятельно рекомендовали:
Писатель Шамиль Идиатуллин советует "Я, Хобо" Сергея Жарковского и "Алмазный век" Нила Стивенсона;
Писатель Дмитрий Захаров, неистово плюсуясь к "Я, Хобо", добавляет "Нейроманта" Уильяма Гибсона и "Лавину" Нила Стивенсона;
Исследователь фантастики Николай Трябин остановился на "Кларе и солнце" Кадзуо Исигуро и "Скитальцах" Хао Цзинфан.

"There is a significant risk of insider threat or hacking of Telegram systems that could expose all of these chats to the Russian government," said Eva Galperin with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which has called for Telegram to improve its privacy practices. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. Official government accounts have also spread fake fact checks. An official Twitter account for the Russia diplomatic mission in Geneva shared a fake debunking video claiming without evidence that "Western and Ukrainian media are creating thousands of fake news on Russia every day." The video, which has amassed almost 30,000 views, offered a "how-to" spot misinformation. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. The next bit isn’t clear, but Durov reportedly claimed that his resignation, dated March 21st, was an April Fools’ prank. TechCrunch implies that it was a matter of principle, but it’s hard to be clear on the wheres, whos and whys. Similarly, on April 17th, the Moscow Times quoted Durov as saying that he quit the company after being pressured to reveal account details about Ukrainians protesting the then-president Viktor Yanukovych.
