Друг канала Владимир Иваний решил показать вам как изменился вид на Симонов монастырь с Дербеневской набережной (сейчас Павелецкая) за последние 90 лет.
О том, что это одно и то же место, теперь напоминают лишь остатки монастыря. Знаменитая башня Дуло и корпус Сушило проглядывают за деревьями на нижней фотографии. Симонов монастырь был уничтожен в 1930-е вместе с древним некрополем.
Скоро остатки обители закроет новый жэка с глуповатым названием «форивер». Башенные краны — это стройка жилого комплекса. Он займёт территорию бывшей станции Симоново Московско-Казанской железной дороги и складов обществ Нобеля и «Ока» (там хранился топочный мазут и керосин). На верхнем снимке можно разглядеть железнодорожный состав. У монастыря мы ещё побываем.
