Проблема в том, что когда эти вроде как положительно-нейтральные праздники с какой-то радости внезапно начинает вводить или форсить нынешний аналог ЦК КПСС, да и ещё и в невесть какую дату, это становится не слишком зашкварным, но таки маркером самого бездумного лоялизма. Причём маркером совсем не обязательным.
И вообще. День вашего отца и день вашей матери - это дни их рожденья. Именно эти дни и являются хорошим поводом уделить им, ежели они ещё живы, побольше внимания.
