В Государственном музее истории Санкт-Петербурга (конечно, публикация #госкаталог) вижу альбом «Новогодний детский базар наркомпищепрома СССР» (авторы: Лишневский Г. А., Копелян И. З., Зайцев В. А.).
Повторяю: 1937 год, Ленинград готовится к празднованию Нового года. Киоски, палатки, прилавки, всякие-разное изобилие еды… Значит:
* Родилась идея отпраздновать
* Дизайнерам велено было напрягаться
* Торговцам велено было сделать запас товаров.

Надо еще помнить, что Новый год в СССР стали праздновать с 1935 года. Так что праздник в 1937 году был вполне еще молодой.
