Суд заявил, что Меликян хранил экземпляр «Ветхого завета» на армянском языке без соответствующей маркировки и использовал гараж как часовню.
Маис Меликян в 2018 году стал первым за десятилетия священником Армянской католической церкви, который был рукоположен в Москве. Церемония прошла в соборе Непорочного зачатия Пресвятой Девы Марии.
