وقد اطّردتْ سُنّته الكونية سبحانه في عباده، بأن من مكر بالباطلِ مُكِر به، ومن احتالَ احتيلَ عليه، ومن خادع غيره خُدِع. قال الله تعالى («٤: ١٤٢» إن المنافقينَ يُخادِعون اللهَ وهو خادعُهم) وقال تعالى («٣٥: ٤٣» ولا يَحيقُ المكرُ السّيِّئ إلا بأهله)، فلا تجد ماكرًا إلا وهو ممكورٌ به، ولا مُخادِعًا إلا وهو مخدوع، ولا مُحتالًا إلا وهو مُحتالٌ عليه.
