NEW EPISODE — The Outlander — Bringing Kids Into the Faith

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=ZebVsczH

One of the hardest parts about being pagan is raising children in the faith when most of the world doesn't understand your religion. Today we live in a world where secular humanism is the default religion, so this is problem that even Christians and others have. But it's especially vexed for pagans. Mike addresses one of the most commonly asked questions in our sphere.
HEARTHFIRE ENJOYERS!

You might have noticed that we are now offering higher tier subscriptions on Hearthfire:

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/plans/subscriber

These give you the same access, they're just a way for our guys with a little extra $$ to support Hearthfire beyond the regular tier. This helps us keep bringing you new shows. Our goal by the end of the year is to bring you a show every day.

Thank you all for your support so far. Because of you we are moving the dial and cementing folkish heathenry as the only heathenry.
NEW EPISODE — Newark Roundtable — Asatru: A Native European Spirituality II

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=PuReVDJR

Last month Mike and Brunwulf interviewed Stephen McNallen about his 2015 book Asatru: A Native European Spirituality. This month they finish their analysis, going through the text chapter by chapter, raising points of interest. Since Mr. McNallen's work is an overview of Germanic religion, in this episode Mike and Brunwulf touch on an enormous range of topics over nearly four hours. The result is a sweeping survey of the religion of our forefathers, a great refresher for experts and a perfect introduction to the religion for newcomers.
NEW EPISODE — The Wessex Nomad — Priddy Nine Barrows

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=vDJORAoI

Join the Wessex Nomad in an area that was used as part of a huge bronze age religious area. In this snowed over field in North Somerset is a cemetery of barrows of the ancestors of our ancestors. The Wessex Nomad gives a exploration and a history lesson of this very special place.
NEW EPISODE — Physique Manufactorum — Planning in Training and in Life

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=fUBSUEqH

Failing to plan is planning to fail. This perennial truth holds not only in your training, but in life more generally. Marcus gives us practical wisdom as to how we can VICTORY-MAXX, whether in the gym, in politics, or anywhere else.

NEW EPISODE — The Bog — The Morality of Our Forefathers II

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=ACFtGaVs

The Boglords continue their exploration of Germanic morality, which seems alien to the modern Western way of thinking. They touch on issues of sexual propriety, drugs and alcohol, whether it's OK to steal, and vengeance.
NEW EPISODE — The Outlander — We Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=RRHNWJSE

Albert Camus famously said of Sisyphus, the Greek tyrant forced to toil pointlessly for eternity, that "we must imagine Sisyphus happy". Can you imagine Sisyphus happy? Mike can, and he folds this into a lesson about meaning and purpose in life.
NEW EPISODE — Neon Knights — Bathory

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=cSdcBTtP

In this episode of Neon Knights, Dan sings the praises of one of the pioneering first wave black metal bands, taking you through their catalogue and sharing his analysis and personal reminiscences of this important band.
NEW EPISODE — Radio North Sea International — The Spiritual Revolutionary

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=bjNQsIRm

Tom recalls the time he gave a speech in London ten years ago for the Frithgard Fellowship and how he became involved with that Heathen group. The talk which is included in this episode concerned the future of Heathenry and was addressed to a type of man he described as "The Spiritual Revolutionary".
NEW EPISODE — The Outlander — Two Kinds of Hero

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=KBbYixJC

In traditional European myth and legend you can find a wide variety of heroes, but these heroes can be broken down into two basic types—the adventurer and the defender of tradition. Radical politics looks down on the traditionalist but Mike explains why he is really the more dangerous man.
What are some heathen podcasts we should check out?

In the early ages of antiquity, there came a great teacher to our folk, granting us culture & organizing our societies. He taught us how to hunt, weave, build, & farm. He taught our first kings the ways of the Gods & how we are to live good lives; from this came the law, the Æfinrúnar, the "Runes of Earthly Life," which combines our rituals & legal institutions. So that the rites could retain their unique status within the religion, we’ve named this work, the Æfinlǫgr "Laws of Earthly Life;” thus, maintaining the connection to the original concept.

This Æfinlǫgr is an attempt to reconstruct the ancient Teutonic law, by examining every legal text contained within the records, looking for commonalities within each code & within our lore, then developing a code we can follow today. This is yet another part of the chain, the next link in reforging our connection to our ancestral tradition. May the Gods shine upon us as we restore order to our once great nations!

The Nebra sky disc found in 1999 near Nebra, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Along with the Sun and moon the star cluster Pleiades can be seen on the disc. Pleiades is called the ‘Seven Sisters’ in many European traditions, whilst the OE name was ‘seofonstierre’ or the Seven Stars.

It is believed that the copper used to make the disc came from Bischofshofen in Austria, whilst the gold and tin used came from Cornwall England.

☝🏻fans of the Outlander may be familiar with the Nebra sky disc.

It comes from the Unetice culture, a very early precursor to the Celtic peoples, back when they lived in Central Europe.
NEW EPISODE — The Outlander — Men Are Getting Railroaded

https://hearthfireradio.com.com/watch?v=olZUfRTW

A bit of a fiery sermon this week. Mike rails against our culture of sexual politics, where men are getting the short end of the stick, though not men alone—women are suffering too, for different reasons. He reflects on why he is a political dissident at all, through the lens of one father's suffering.
