По словам адвокатов, следователи «не нашли состава преступления» в действиях Бакальчука и он был освобожден. При этом источники «Коммерсанта» в правоохранительных органах предположили, что «вопрос по Бакальчуку до конца не закрыт», поскольку «оперативно-следственные мероприятия в его отношении продолжаются».
