По данным «Базы» пожар на ферме, расположенной в Елабужском районе республики, начался в 3 ночи. Загорелось здание, в котором проживали рабочие. В момент возгорания в доме находились 39 человек.
Спустя час пожар удалось потушить. На месте происшествия были обнаружили тела шестерых человек. Пятеро погибших - граждане Узбекистана.
Предварительной причиной пожара стало нарушение правил эксплуатации электрооборудования.
