Электровоз 2ЭС6 — самый массовый локомотив постоянного тока нового поколения на сети РЖД, используется на полигонах пяти магистралей РЖД. Суммарный пробег локомотивов с начала эксплуатации составляет более 1,94 млрд километров.
Первый образец электровоза 2ЭС6 был представлен в декабре 2006 года. В 2008 году началось серийное производство. При проектировании 2ЭС6 российскими конструкторами было применено до 80% технических решений, которые ранее не использовались в отечественном машиностроении, также за годы производства конструкция локомотива была усовершенствована.

One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
