29 июля 1994 года депутаты молдавского парламента проголосовали за принятия нынешнего Основного закона страны.

В музее парламента хранится первое издание Конституции, переведенное на несколько языков, а также специальное протокольное издание, предложенное законодательному органу тогдашним председателем Конституционного суда.
