Штука в том, что таким образом Chevron получили доступ к крупнейшим нефтяным месторождениям Гайаны, которую уже называют одним из «самых перспективных активов» в портфеле компании.
Не будем забывать, что в Гайане уже работает компания Exxon, которые на прошлой неделе сделали «значительное открытие нефти и газа» на блоке Стабрук. Ожидается, что к 2027 году там будет добываться до 1,2 миллиона баррелей в день.
