По версии следствия, с июля 2023 года по 11 октября 2024 года, Василевский, действуя по предварительному сговору с неким «Е», путём обмана под предлогом оказания содействия в финансово-хозяйственной деятельности пытались совершить в Рязани хищение денежных средств, принадлежащих «Б», на сумму ₽22 млн. Однако преступление не было доведено до конца по не зависящим от них обстоятельствам. Под стражей экс-министр останется до 10 декабря.
