"Полночь с дьяволом" (2023), которую я с большим интересом ждал еще с прошлого года, оправдала надежды, хотя и хотелось чуть большего.
Сюжет про ведущего вечернего шоу, по неосторожности решившего взорвать рейтинги общением с одержимой девочкой — по сути, дотянутый до полнометражки эпизод "Сумеречной зоны" с соответствующим сюром и мрачно-ироничным многоточием в финале. Во многом фильм тянет великолепный Дастмалчян, наконец-то доросший до главной роли, а вот с настроением подачи авторы как будто бы не определились: кое-где они топят в тихий фоновый хоррор из серии "моргнул — пропустил", как у Флэнегана, а потом вдруг ударяют по стилистике Б-муви 1970-х с нарочито карикатурными смертями и лазерным демоном, запоздало отдавая честь сеттингу.
В любом случае, даже такая явная неровность не мешает результату быть классно снятым, интригующим хоррором, вобравшим в себя лучшее и от классики, и от современных образцов жанра. Советую смело.
