The Russian invasion of Ukraine has been a driving force in markets for the past few weeks. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours. Sebi said data, emails and other documents are being retrieved from the seized devices and detailed investigation is in progress. The account, "War on Fakes," was created on February 24, the same day Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" and troops began invading Ukraine.
