Глава Администрации Ростова-на-Дону сообщил, что сильный ветер стал причиной массового падения деревьев в городе. На утро зафиксировано 28 происшествий, из них 24 падения деревьев и 1-й конструкции, 3 подтопления территорий. По словам чиновника, ветреная погода сохранится до вечера.

Страдают жители региона и от воды — в Таганроге затопило прибрежную линию и часть улиц, ветер уничтожил часть пляжной инфраструктуры. В местном правительстве сообщили, что из-за непогоды сложности возникли в Ростове-на-Дону, Азове, Таганроге, Азовском, Мясниковском и Неклиновском районов. Сейчас к спасателям обратились за помощью жители четырех населенных пунктов — Морской Чулек, Задонье, Береговой и хутора Дугино.

He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. These entities are reportedly operating nine Telegram channels with more than five million subscribers to whom they were making recommendations on selected listed scrips. Such recommendations induced the investors to deal in the said scrips, thereby creating artificial volume and price rise. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback.
