Написан он уже без умершего брата Аркадия, в 1993 году, и это нетипичное произведение для БС – скорее такая зарисовка о жизни ленинградского интеллигента во время застоя в 1970-е. И увидел там такой эпизод: «Я вчера стою за пивом, а там мужичонка какой-то разоряется: робя, дела наши кранты, с первого числа в два раза на водку поднимут, уже ценники переписывают, я вам точно говорю! А какой-то облом двухметровый ему: не посмеют! САХАРОВ НЕ ПОЗВОЛИТ!..».
