Производство на карьере в Тельмановском районе не велось с 2008 года, но сейчас карьероуправление приобрело новое юридическое лицо, ООО "Каранский карьер", которое занялось восстановлением производства.
Предприятие специализируется на выработке горных пород и имеет три современных дробильно-сортировочных комплекса, способных перерабатывать до 5 000 тонн щебня в сутки. Автопарк карьера состоит из 27 единиц современной специализированной техники.
Сейчас на карьере организовали производство замкнутого цикла – от добычи щебня до переработки в асфальтовую смесь, которую сразу же доставляют на укладку дорог. Для этого на предприятии работают три асфальтобетонных завода, которые в круглосуточном режиме осуществляют производство асфальтобетонной смеси на основе добытого в карьере камня.
