«Я обратился с просьбой о выдвижении в политсовет партии «Гражданская инициатива», – заявил «Ведомостям» политик. – Лидер партии Андрей Нечаев – мой давний соратник, единомышленник. На днях политсовет рассмотрел мою просьбу и принял положительное решение».
Нечаев подтвердил «Ведомостям» выдвижение Надеждина: «У нас есть около двух десятков регионов с сильными отделениями. В любой случае для сбора подписей и для агитационной кампании штабы создаются заодно». «Гражданская инициатива» не представлена в Госдуме и в региональных парламентах. Согласно ст. 36 закона о выборах президента, для выдвижения от непарламентской партии необходимо собрать 100 000 подписей, причем на один регион должно приходиться не более 2500 подписей.
