Мероприятие прошло в Музее Победы и собрало около 3 тысяч человек. Среди них — заместитель Начальника Главного Штаба «ЮНАРМИИ» Сергей Тагаев. Участники акции почтили память Героев-ленинградцев минутой молчания и зажгли бенгальские огни под симфонию № 7 Дмитрия Шостаковича.
