23 декабря 2016 года, после тяжелейшей болезни ушел из жизни директор Кроноцкого государственного природного биосферного заповедника, председатель правления и неформальный лидер Ассоциации директоров государственных природных заповедников и национальных парков России, профессионал и подвижник заповедного дела Тихон Игоревич Шпиленок. Ему было всего 36 лет.
Будь Тихон сегодня среди нас – и наше заповедное дело было бы куда более светлым. Я так думаю.

Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred." Recently, Durav wrote on his Telegram channel that users' right to privacy, in light of the war in Ukraine, is "sacred, now more than ever." "There are several million Russians who can lift their head up from propaganda and try to look for other sources, and I'd say that most look for it on Telegram," he said.
