Зеленое - село в Покровском районе бывшей Донецкой области с довоенным населением около 220 человек. Расположено на берегу речки Соленой у трассы Е-50 в пяти километрах к югу от окраин Покровска (Красноармейска). Его освобождение позволит группировке «Центр» расширить плацдарм для наступления на город. Сейчас главная задача подразделений «Центра» - охватить Покровск с запада, чтобы нарушить его сообщение с Днепропетровской областью.
