🏆 IFTA Awards 2025 winners

Ірландська академія кіно і телебачення - The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) оголосила переможців своєї кінематографічної нагороди. Основною інтригою було, кого ж ірландці назвали найкращим фільмом: Small Things Like These чи Kneecap. В результаті перший став ірландським фільмом року (+ перемога в акторській категорії – Кілліан Мерфі та за сценарій), другий отримав приз за режисуру (+ кастинг, костюми та монтаж). У міжнародній категорії найкращим фільмом став Conclave. Тріумфаторкою стала Сирша Ронан, яку якось обділили в цьому нагородному сезоні, а на батьківщині вручили призи одразу за кращу актрису та за роль другого плану - The Outrun та Blitz.

In a message on his Telegram channel recently recounting the episode, Durov wrote: "I lost my company and my home, but would do it again – without hesitation." Soloviev also promoted the channel in a post he shared on his own Telegram, which has 580,000 followers. The post recommended his viewers subscribe to "War on Fakes" in a time of fake news. Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. VK is Russia’s equivalent of Facebook, a social network used for public and private messaging, audio and video sharing as well as online gaming. In January, SimpleWeb reported that VK was Russia’s fourth most-visited website, after Yandex, YouTube and Google’s Russian-language homepage. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” Just days after Russia invaded Ukraine, Durov wrote that Telegram was "increasingly becoming a source of unverified information," and he worried about the app being used to "incite ethnic hatred." What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm.
