بر پایه گزارش‌های منتشر شده، رضا ولی‌زاده، روزنامه‌نگار ایرانی-آمریکایی از سه روز پیش در زندان اوین دست به اعتصاب غذای اعتراضی زده است. آقای ولی‌زاده که روزنامه‌نگار رادیو فردا بود و پس از بازگشت به ایران، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به ۱۰ سال حبس، ممنوعیت خروج از کشور، ممنوعیت اقامت در استان تهران و استان‌های همجوار و همچنین منع عضویت در احزاب و گروه‌ها و گروه‌های سیاسی- اجتماعی به مدت دو سال محکوم شده، در اعتراض به عدم بررسی و رسیدگی به پرونده خود توسط دادگاه دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است.
