Сегодня Улан-Удэ и Лалитпур (Непал) подписали соглашение о побратимстве! 🤝 повстречались с мэром города Лалитпур, господином Чири Бабу Махарджаном, и его делегацией.

Улан-Удэ — всего лишь второй город, с которым Лалитпур устанавливает такие тесные связи. Уверен, что это не просто формальность, а важный шаг к развитию сотрудничества. Большая делегация из Непала уже участвовала в наших Первом и Втором буддийских форумах, и коллеги видят перспективы взаимодействия между нашими странами, готовые к их развитию. Будем укреплять связи в туризме, промышленности и экономике!

Бурятию и Непал многое объединяет — богатая культура, традиции буддизма, уважение к природе. Теперь будем встречаться чаще и реализовывать совместные проекты.

Пригласил наших друзей из Непала к нам на празднование 80-летия Победы. Ведь это важный день для всего мира.

Russians and Ukrainians are both prolific users of Telegram. They rely on the app for channels that act as newsfeeds, group chats (both public and private), and one-to-one communication. Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Telegram has remained an important lifeline for both Russians and Ukrainians, as a way of staying aware of the latest news and keeping in touch with loved ones. Crude oil prices edged higher after tumbling on Thursday, when U.S. West Texas intermediate slid back below $110 per barrel after topping as much as $130 a barrel in recent sessions. Still, gas prices at the pump rose to fresh highs. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. Standard conversations use the MTProto method, enabling server-client encryption but with them stored on the server for ease-of-access. This makes using Telegram across multiple devices simple, but also means that the regular Telegram chats you’re having with folks are not as secure as you may believe. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
