История переплёта с Анной Марковой

Зрительная труба. Лондон, вторая половина XVII века, мастер Д. Джарвел. Экземпляр из обновлённой экспозиции Кунсткамеры.

Внешняя часть трубы сделана из пергамена и украшена золотым (угасшим?) тиснением и ручной раскраской.

Рассматривала трубу и её раскраску, которая очень напоминает пёстрые лубочные картинки, и вспомнила о так называемых «крестьянских переплётах». Этот «малый стиль» оформления переплётов возник попозже, в XVIII столетии, и требовал всё-таки большей аккуратности в тонировках.
