Tadanori Yokoo & Renzaburo Shibata.
Uro Tsuki Yata [Yata, the Vagabond].
Published by Shueisha, 1975
ISBN: 00937800043041

This rare edition of Uro Tsuki Yata (1975) is a collaboration between novelist Renzaburo Shibata and Japanese graphic design megastar Tadanori Yokoo. The novel follows the adventures of Yata, a wandering vagabond, set against the backdrop of historical Japan. I’ve never actually read the story, but the book itself stands out for its experimental design, featuring vibrant color illustrations and innovative layouts that blend traditional narrative with avant-garde visual storytelling. Something that I really miss in many modern books.

"The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth." He floated the idea of restricting the use of Telegram in Ukraine and Russia, a suggestion that was met with fierce opposition from users. Shortly after, Durov backed off the idea. False news often spreads via public groups, or chats, with potentially fatal effects. "He has to start being more proactive and to find a real solution to this situation, not stay in standby without interfering. It's a very irresponsible position from the owner of Telegram," she said. Pavel Durov, Telegram's CEO, is known as "the Russian Mark Zuckerberg," for co-founding VKontakte, which is Russian for "in touch," a Facebook imitator that became the country's most popular social networking site.
