Уточняется, что в момент происшествия контейнеровоз транспортировал 15 контейнеров с химическим веществом. Также судно перевозило неизвестный объём алкоголя.
Цианистый натрий применяется в промышленности, в частности при золотодобыче для извлечения металла из руды.
