Под песню «Священная война» на главную площадь столицы вынесли победное знамя и флаг России. Впервые в истории парад проходит под снегопад.

На трибунах среди гостей присутствуют главы Казахстана, Киргизии, Белоруссии, Таджикистана, Туркменистана, Лаоса, Гвинеи-Бисау и Кубы.

Владимир Путин поприветствовал всех, кто решил почтить память героев Великой Отечественной войны, в том числе участников СВО и военнослужащих. Он отметил смелость и мужество наших предков, которых сегодня россияне чествуют в 79-й раз.

«Они защитили родную землю, освободили народы Европы, достигли вершин ратной доблести. Правду о войне пытаются сегодня всеми средствами исказить», — заявил Путин.

Девять тысяч военнослужащих принимают участие в сегодняшнем параде, среди которых — больше тысячи участников спецоперации.
