Торговля велась на территории одного из донецких рынков. У подозреваемой изъяли две тушки рыбы общим весом 19,9 килограммов и пять отдельных кусков рыбы общим весом 5,57 килограмма.
Была проведена экспертиза, показавшая, что эта рыба — русский осетр (Acipenser gueldenstaedtii). Согласно приказу Минсельхоза России от 23 октября 2019 года №596, на вылов этого вида рыб наложен полный запрет.
