Он отметил, что дефицит врачей сегодня в России составляет 23,3 тысячи человек, по среднему медицинскому персоналу — 63 тысячи. При этом 19% врачей и около 13% среднего медперсонала — лица старше 60 лет, уточнил министр.
В то же время огромный прирост отмечается по медикам в возрасте до 35 лет.
