О том, что в Торопце строится склад для ракет, боеприпасов и взрывчатых веществ, в 2018 году сообщало Минобороны России. Ведомство отмечало, что «арсенал позволяет укрыть запасы ракет и боеприпасов от внешнего воздействия».
