Конкурс посвящен рассказам об участниках СВО и их героизме. По итогам отбора издается сборник работ «Героями не рождаются. Za Родину!», который доставляется бойцам в зону боевых действий, а также вручается авторам на торжественной церемонии награждения.

Безмерно гордимся их подвигами, как и подвигами их предков в годы Великой Отечественной войны», — отметил в приветственном адресе к участникам церемонии заместитель мэра Москвы Александр Горбенко.
В церемонии приняли участие около 350 человек. Среди почетных гостей — представители организационного комитета конкурса, Департамента национальной политики и межрегиональных связей города Москвы, Герои России, участники специальной военной операции, а также их родные.
