Японская Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) получила принципиальное одобрение на проектирование мембранного танкера для перевозки СПГ, оснащенного двумя парусами Wind Challenger компании MOL.
В настоящее время ведутся работы по детальному проектированию нового танкера для перевозки СПГ, заказанного MOL у Hanwha Ocean в Южной Корее, с целью фактической установки жестких парусов высотой 49 м.
Wind Challenger — это телескопический жесткий парус, разработанный MOL в сотрудничестве с Токийским университетом и судостроительной компанией Oshima Shipbuilding.
