Сегодня, 28 ноября, день рождения командира 5-й пехотной дивизии Северо-Западной армии полковника Анатолия Павловича Ливена (1872 г.). Анатолий Павлович окончил юридический факультет Санкт-Петербургского университета, но сменил гражданскую стезю на военную и поступил юнкером в Кавалергардский полк. В 1898 году вышел в запас. С началом Великой войны вернулся в полк. Лично участвовал в конных сшибках. В январе 1919 года Анатолий Ливен стал формировать в Либаве русский добровольческий отряд. В ходе боев, преследуя отступающих большевиков, отряд Ливена попал в засаду, в которой сам Ливен был тяжело ранен в живот и бедро пулей, раздробившей кости таза. Ранение сделало его на всю жизнь инвалидом. Однако Анатолий Павлович вернулся в строй. Его отряд был направлен в Северо-Западную армию, пополнен и преобразован в дивизию. После окончания Гражданской войны Анатолий Павлович прошел курс лечения и вернулся в родовое имение в Латвии. Скончался от сердечного приступа.
