В 2025 году стартует строительство нового терминала аэропорта Казани, говорит глава воздушной гавани Сергей Романцов.

До этого планировалось, что стройка начнется уже в этом году. Теперь до конца 2024-го ожидается только завершение проектирования.

Пропускная способность терминала составит 3 тыс. пассажиров в час. Тогда как существующие мощности позволяют обслуживать до 1,2 тыс. пассажиров.

В начале года появились эскизы нового здания аэровокзала. Аэропорт носит имя татарского поэта Габдуллы Тукая, поэтому терминал хотят сделать похожим на открытую книгу (подобное уже реализовали в Самарканде).

В 2023 году пассажиропоток аэропорта Казани впервые превысил 5 млн человек. В 2024-м ожидается его рост на 5-6%. В конце июля получил одобрение проект реконструкции аэропорта.
