В нём приняли участие 14 259 учеников пятых классов из всех 40 муниципалитетов Верхневолжья. Посвящение направлено на вовлечение школьников в деятельность «Движения Первых», помощь в определении направлений для их дальнейшего развития: это наука, культура, спорт, волонтёрство, здоровый образ жизни и экология.
Российское движение детей и молодёжи образовано по распоряжению Президента России Владимира Путина. Координационный совет Движения в Тверской области возглавляет Губернатор Игорь Руденя. На сегодняшний день в регионе свыше 50 тысяч человек состоят в этом сообществе.
