Это следует из отчета об оценке имущества «Первой локомотивной компании» (ПЛК) ее конкурсным управляющим Кириллом Прокофьевым. В него входит документация для организации производства, тестирования и обслуживания машины. Также в 0,2 млрд руб. были суммарно оценены 2 опытных электровоза 2ЭВ120.
ПЛК планировала выпускать эти магистральные машины на Энгельсском локомотивном заводе (ЭЛЗ) совместно с Bombardier Transportation. Двухсистемные электровозы (постоянный + переменный ток) из двух секций общей мощностью длительного режима 8,8 МВт были спроектированы на основе семейства TRAXX. Их произвели в 2015-2016 годах с начальным уровнем локализации 23% и сертифицировали в 2017-м. Однако РЖД отказались от закупки электровоза, позднее и ЭЛЗ, и сама ПЛК были признаны банкротами.
В начале 2023 года производственный комплекс ЭЛЗ был продан «Интер Карго Компани», предложившей за него 2,8 млрд руб.
