В корпусе Бенуа Русского музея открылась очень милая выставка «Русское Рождество». Экспонаты рассказывают как о религиозной иконографии праздника, так и о том, как он отмечался в течение веков в России: народные гуляния, катальные горки, и так далее. Слава богу, коллекция музея настолько богата, что на эту тему можно сделать очень любопытную экспозицию.

Мне понравилось обилие церковной скульптуры, интегрированной в выставку — получился как будто праздничный торт с кремом. Еще хороши смелые сопоставления старого и нового, для тех, кто сечет фишку и подтексты.

Выставка, к сожалению, очень короткая, всего до 26 января, так что те, кто в Питере — поспешите, рекомендую.

Telegram was co-founded by Pavel and Nikolai Durov, the brothers who had previously created VKontakte. In 2016, Forbes’ Michael Solomon described Pavel Durov (pictured, below) as the “Mark Zuckerberg of Russia.” He said that since his platform does not have the capacity to check all channels, it may restrict some in Russia and Ukraine "for the duration of the conflict," but then reversed course hours later after many users complained that Telegram was an important source of information. You may recall that, back when Facebook started changing WhatsApp’s terms of service, a number of news outlets reported on, and even recommended, switching to Telegram. Pavel Durov even said that users should delete WhatsApp “unless you are cool with all of your photos and messages becoming public one day.” But Telegram can’t be described as a more-secure version of WhatsApp. In 2018, Russia banned Telegram although it reversed the prohibition two years later. Since January 2022, the SC has received a total of 47 complaints and enquiries on illegal investment schemes promoted through Telegram. These fraudulent schemes offer non-existent investment opportunities, promising very attractive and risk-free returns within a short span of time. They commonly offer unrealistic returns of as high as 1,000% within 24 hours or even within a few hours.
