Российский суд назначил 19 лет заключения британцу, взятому в плен в Курской области
Как сообщает Следственный комитет России, приговор вынесен гражданину Великобритании и Северной Ирландии Джеймсу Скотту Рису Андерсону по статьям о совершении теракта и о наемничестве (п. «а», «в» ч. 2 ст. 205, ч. 3 ст. 359 УК).
По версии следствия, осужденный британец в составе украинского вооруженного формирования, где он находился в качестве наемника, в ноябре 2024 года вторгся на территорию Курской области, где и был задержан. Следствие утверждает, что Андерсон «совершал преступления против мирного населения», однако какие-либо конкретизирующее данные по этому обвинению не приводит.
По вменяемым статьям суд приговорил Андресона к 19 годам лишения свободы: первые 5 лет он проведет в тюрьме, остальную часть срока — в колонии строгого режима.
Ранее суд приговорил двух взятых в плен в Курской области украинских военных к 14 и 15 годам лишения свободы. Их признали виновными в совершении теракта.

The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
