Запуск был торжественным, оркестр играл "Интернационал", первый вагон украсили портретом Ленина, второй - Маркса. На депо - портрет Рыкова.
Как водится, звучали бодрые речи, и лозунги, типа: "Даешь трамвай в Сталин!"
Разрезали алую ленту и открыли движение.
