🟡 BREAKING: Buses carrying 183 Palestinian prisoners have left Israel's Ofer and Ktzi'ot prisons for Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Among them, 111 were kidnapped by the IDF in Gaza since October 7th, 2023. Their release was secured through negotiations by the Palestinian resistance as part of the three-phase ceasefire agreement.

🟡 NOW: Raw emotion and reunions as the first freed Palestinian prisoners arrive in Ramallah, occupied West Bank. As part of today’s prisoner exchange, the Palestinian resistance secured the release of 183 Palestinians from Israeli prisons, many of kidnapped by the IDF in the Gaza strip. Many of the prisoners spent decades in Israeli prisons, facing life-sentences.

🟡 BREAKING: The Rafah Crossing from Gaza to Egypt was opened for the first time in nine months. According to reports, 50 critically ill Palestinian patients with cancer or heart disease are on their way in ambulances to treatment and hospitals outside Gaza.

🟡 BREAKING: Three buses filled with Palestinian prisoners released from Israeli jails arrive in Gaza, Khan Younis. Emotional scenes are seen as large crowds encircle the buses. Families are being reunited again. The prisoners are Palestinians captured by the Israeli occupation forces from the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Chants break out from the crowds thanking the Palestinian resistance for facilitating the mass release of the prisoners.

As we enter this year’s Black History Month, we must honor the radical Martin Luther King Jr. who delivered a powerful speech at Oxford in 1967, stating: “Our nation’s summer of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay.” His words still ring true today.
