Сегодня из-за оттепели река ещё не вся замёрзла, только забереги. Но и здесь толщина льда всего 10-15 см, по данным ачинского отряда "Спасатель". Для обустройства зимника нужно 20-сантиметровый слой.

В прошлом году к этому времени лед на реке уже встал, а зимнюю дорогу через Чулым открыли 22 декабря. Для её обустройства понадобилось четыре дня.
