Раз в год в Турции проходят Дни Европейского наследия, когда некоторые консульства любезно открывают свои двери и проводят экскурсии.
В прошлом году мне не удалось попасть во Французское посольство, а в этом удача улыбнулась.
Французы открыли первыми свое посольство в Константинополе при Франциске I и Сулеймане Великолепном, «кощунственный союз лилии и полумесяца», и отношения между нашими странами всегда были достаточно тесными.
