— «Новая искренность» — это, по большому счету, термин, придуманный Дмитрием Александровичем Приговым чуть ли не в 1980-х годах. А в 1990-е годы я понял, что сейчас будет поэзия меняться, и я ее буду менять, в частности, потому что там был еще круг других поэтов. Помню, как мы сидели на каком-то бульваре и говорили о том, что невозможно все время быть в иронии. Раньше везде было много иронии, в том же постмодернизме, неправильно понятом. Я сказал, что мне кажется, что сейчас меняется время, и предложил придумать такую группу — «Новая искренность».
