За девять дней до смерти пианиста силовики усмотрели в опубликованных им видео «оскорбление Владимира Путина в неприличной форме» и «явное неуважение к обществу и государству».
При жизни Кушнир записал цикл из 24 прелюдий Рахманинова. Музыковед Михаил Казиник высоко оценил это исполнение, отметив, что «он сделал цикл, он показал развитие идей Рахманинова и очистил от всех наслоений, от всяких эстрадностей — он сделал это кристально».

Given that Russian law enforcement officials are reportedly (via Insider) stopping people in the street and demanding to read their text messages, this could be vital to protect individuals from reprisals.
