Revisited a sketch I drew in preschool: I remember wanting to grow up to be an artist as a child. But, of course—stereotypical of Asian parenting—my dad told me that artists don’t make any money and that all my interests were useless lol. So currently, I am in the midst of breaking out of that conditioning.

Another interesting remembrance is that I was often orchestrating space battles between kids and planning elaborate escape scenarios. I even spent weeks convincing others to escape preschool with me. 😂 🧢
