На Крещение Господне, после того, как в храме совершится Великое освящение воды, наш братский Сербский народ крестным ходом направляется к выбранному водоему.
На берегу служится молебен, затем на середину водоема выходит лодка и священник погружает крест в воду, а затем после сигнала пловцы начинают наперегонки плыть за святым крестом. Каждый смельчак старается первым доплыть и схватить заветный крест в ледяной воде.
Сегодня в Сербии эта традиция превратилась в общенародный праздник. Реки, озера, плотины и искусственные водоемы собирают в этот день множество православных людей. Сербы видят в этой традиции проявление силы духа и относятся к ней с большим благоговением.

The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice.
